The girls in 4-C have been fantastic this week. They have worked hard to organize their materials and are well on their way to becoming experts at finding pathways through "Fourthies Home" to locate websites, create works of art and inspiration, and write down their thoughts and use google drive and google classroom. The girls have been working on the fine art of summarization and illustration in class. Please make sure to add Fourthies Home to your favorites on the home computer.

Our first class novel is All of a Kind Family, by Sydney Taylor. It is about a young Jewish family during the early 20th century. All of our novel studies are interwoven with our History 4 Fourthies curriculum.

4-C is working on Geometry in math. Unit 1 consists of learning about larger numbers, estimating, and factors and multiples. They have been making lines, segments, and rays. They have learned about acute, obtuse, right, and straight angles this week. We even went on a Geometry Scavenger Hunt out on the green!  Math Antics on youtube has some excellent videos that the girls can watch on math topics being taught. We watched Math Antics Angles, basic to review what was taught this week.

Students have been navigating list 1 of Spelling and Lesson 1 of Worldly Wise, our vocabulary workbook.  You may have noticed that many of the Wordly Wise Words are also on the Spelling Lists. The girls will be accessing SpellingCity and Quizlet websites for daily practice, flashcard practice, games, and homework.

Today we had our Opening of School Chapel which was held in the Kenny Center, with faculty and all students, Early Learners to twelfth graders. It was awesome!
