The girls have been busily developing their skills in persuasive writing and have created persuasion maps, brainstormed, watched videos and outlined pros and cons of their ideas, which will culminate in an exciting essay on whether ten year olds should be allowed to have cell phones. We will hold a debate and take a class vote. The girls will then have an opportunity to write a persuasive essay on a topic of their own choice.

Students will spend this week reviewing Unit 3 Fractions in google classroom and in their workbooks. They have worked diligently and can get in extra practice in section C of matholia and on the googleclassroom Unit 3 Review.

On Wednesday morning, Mrs. Hiscock has kindly agreed to take the girls to Shepherd's Way to serve breakfast. She knows the ins and outs and has already taken her girls there, so she has volunteered to help out since I cannot be there myself. I know this will be a great experience for the girls and it is important for them to grow in compassion and service to others. Thank you so much to all who have participated by volunteering to chaperone, purchase, cook and send in food. The chaperones for Wednesday are Cindy Richards, Susan Taliaferro, and Emmie Bonnell. Information on how and when to send the food is very specific and will be emailed so that you can plan ahead. Again thank you for making this such a great experience for the students.
